Local residents earn degrees from NIU

The following students were awarded undergraduate degrees from Northern Illinois University for its fall 2008 commencement ceremonies held Dec. 13 and Dec. 14.

Graduates from Elburn include Carrie Eickhoff, B.S. in Nursing; Steven Galloway, B.S. in Finance; Jeremy Kenny, B.S. Ed. in Physical Education; Alicia Lisowski, B.S. in Geography; Alexander Miller, B.S. in Marketing; Katherine Potvin, B.S. Ed. in Elementary Education; Marc Ricker, B.G.S. in General Emphasis; Nicholas Secrest, B.S. in Marketing; Amanda Semrick, B.A. in Organizational/Corporate Communication; Christopher Zankowski, B.S. in Industrial Technology.

Graduates from Maple Park include Parker Johnson, B.S.Ed. in Physical Education; and Tara Scharlau, B.S. in Nursing.

Graduates from Sugar Grove include Michael Algnzine, B.A. in Sociology- Criminology; Ashly Barry, B.S. in Accountancy; Patrick Mitchell, B.S. in Psychology; Tracey Smith, B.A. in Psychology.

The following Elburn students were awarded graduate degrees from Northern Illinois University: Michelle Brazee, M.A.S. in Accountancy; Jeffrey Leavey, M.B.A. in Business Administration; Charles Park, M.S.Ed. in Pedagogy/Curr Dev in PE. From Sugar Grove, graduate students include Melissa Groot, M.S.Ed. in Educational Administration; Maria Diaz, M.S. in Adult Nurse Practitioner.
