Hogan Walker hosts open house

Elburn—Hogan Walker, John Deere in Elburn will host its annual residential open house on Saturday, April 10, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The company will have a test drive area for all new residential equipment, free hot dogs from Reams Elburn Market, and a craft station for children.

The Elburn store has a long history. Originally owned by Gus Ehlers as Elburn Farm Implement, Gus’s son Ron took over and renamed the business Ehlers Lawn and Recreation. The Ehlers operated the John Deere dealership for 51 years before selling to Hogan Walker, LLC in June of 2008.

Since then, the Elburn store has expanded its product line to include skid steers and other commercial worksite equipment. As part of the Hogan Walker family of stores, they have access to their parts and equipment inventory, which reduces lead times for customers.

Hogan Walker’s Elburn store manager, Noel Phillips, said he feels strongly about maintaining a relationship with the village of Elburn and surrounding communities.
