Bethlehem Lutheran Church original play June 20
DEKALB—The Bethlehem Lutheran Church artist series will present a drama with poetry and music at 3 p.m. Sunday, June 20. The performance will take place at the church, located at 1915 N. First St., DeKalb.

“Emily Dickinson and Ike Marvel: Dream Lovers,” a one-act play written by Annette Johns of Sycamore, will be performed by Clark Neher of DeKalb and Johns. The play features Dickinson’s letters and Marvel’s book, “Reveries of a Bachelor.”

Paintings by DeKalb resident Mary Von Zellen will complement the program.

Afternoon tea will be served following the performance.

The program is free and open to the public, though a free-will offering will be taken.

Couples night out at UCC
NORTH AURORA—Union Congregational Church will host a Couples Night Out on Saturday, June 26. This is an open invitation to all couples in the community.

If you have children, free child care will be provided. Children are to be dropped off at 4:45 p.m. The couples meet at 5 p.m. for a short and fun Rally Time, where there will be discussion about teamwork, before the couples head out on a date with one another. The place to meet is at 405 W. State St., North Aurora.

Mom’s Conference June 26

LA FOX—Lord of Life Church invites the women of the community to the 2nd annual Moms Conference from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 26.

“No Such Thing as Perfect People” is the theme of this event and will feature keynote speaker Amy Rienow, mom and wife of Visionary Parenting founder, the Rev. Rob Rienow.
