Reusche takes Elburn Days 5K 2010

ELBURN—Not even humid conditions could hamper the largest turnout ever for the Elburn Days 5K.

Saturday morning’s gathering occurred under cloudy conditions and had 133 finishers for the race that wove a trail near downtown Elburn

Kaneland cross-country veteran Matt Reusche, with a time of 18 minutes, 32 seconds, was overall champion. Scott Peterson was 27 seconds behind and was good enough for second place.

Dominic Furco finished third with a time of 19:24, followed by Scott Lyon with a time of 19:58. Rounding out the top 5 was John Mroz at 20:11.

The top two female finishers were Melissa Payne-Wagner (20:56) in eighth place, and Natalie Levita (21:38) in 14th place.
