Village to post stream signs

ELBURN—The village of Elburn will post a sign at each village stream where a road crosses it. The signs, which the village obtained at no cost from Kane County, will bear the name of the tributary.

The signs will be at two stream locations, one on Keslinger Road and another on Hughes Road.

“We want people to be more aware of our streams,” Trustee Ken Anderson said during Monday’s Public Works Committee meeting.

The signs were leftover from a Kane County stream-sign installation project several years ago and feature a picture of a stream created by a county resident.
