Not ‘just a mom’ anymore

“I’m just a mom!”

So many times I have made this statement thinking that I cannot make a difference. But it is because I am a mom and a grandma that I believe I have a God-given responsibility to make a difference in what is happening in our country. What I do today directly impacts the legacy that I leave for my children and my grandson.

Our current government is acting irresponsibly, and it is time to stop the nonsense. So today I made a difference—I voted for Randy Hultgren because he stands for the values that I embrace.

As I look into the face of my six-week-old grandson, my heart breaks at the thought of the millions of tiny babies that will never get to breathe their first breaths. As I pray for my son who is currently serving with the U.S. Navy in Afghanistan, and who lays his life on the line everyday, I want to know that we have a Congressman who will “have his back.” I want the next generation to have a nation that is stronger and more prosperous than it is today.

Randy Hultgren is committed to small government, reduced taxes, providing for the needs of our military, and the right to life; he is opposed to government interference in our health care system and out-of-control spending. It is time for moms like me to stand up and allow our voices to be heard. I support Randy Hultgren for Congress. I thank you, Randy, for being willing to stand in the gap for moms, our children and our grandchildren.
