The 2007 Kaneland grad always gets a look from Kaneland baseball faithful, but as the weather turns, the mentions are getting national.

The 2009 Sporting News Baseball Yearbook is on newstands everywhere, and Crosby, who had Tommy John surgery in November 2007 causing him to miss all but minimal instructional league time, is mentioned in the Detroit Tigers section.

Listed in the “Down on the Farm” section, Crosby is ranked fifth on the list of highly-touted Tigers prospects. The listing reads that Crosby “brings plenty of life to his 86-92-mph fastball and changes speeds well.”
