Hosanna! Lutheran offers
women’s ministry retreat

St. Charles—Hosanna! Lutheran Church will host a Women’s Ministry Retreat on Saturday, Jan. 22, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The topic, “Red Sea Rules,” will be led by Barb Wilson. Wilson has a degree in elementary education and has taught at several Christian schools. She is author of the Bible study book, “Wife of Noble Character.”

St. Mary Parish presents ‘Put The Nuns in Charge’
SYCAMORE—The Church of St. Mary in Sycamore presents “Put The Nuns in Charge,” a companion piece to the nationally acclaimed comedy phenomenon, “Late Nite Catechism.”

This hilarious but reverent show teaches life lessons on civility, humility and godliness and is appropriate for audiences from pre-teen to post-adult.

“Put The Nuns in Charge” will play for one night only, Saturday, Jan. 22, at 7 p.m. at St. Mary Parish Activity Center, 322 Waterman St., Sycamore. General admission tickets are $15 until Jan. 20. Tickets purchased after that date are $20

St. Peter Church for an ecumenical concert
GENEVA—The public is invited to hear the beautiful sounds of four church choirs, an accomplished soloist and concert organist.

Three churches will participate in the music program at Geneva’s St. Peter Church on Sunday, Jan. 30, at 3 p.m. The concert will be followed by a reception.

Anne Krahulec and Sherri Stasell, Music Ministry Leaders for St. Peter Church, said they are pleased to join with other church musicians in praising God and sharing their gifts of song and music with the greater community.

“I am grateful for Pastor Martha Halls of Geneva Lutheran Church, and Pastor Mark Tusken of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, and their generosity in joining with St. Peter as we celebrate our centennial,” said Father Martins Emeh, St. Peter Church pastor. “It promises to be a wonderful afternoon.”

The concert is part of the year-long celebration for St. Peter’s Centennial, which culminates on July 11.

Marriage conference
at Fox Valley
Christian Church

BATAVIA—Fox Valley Christian Church, 40W150 Main St., Batavia, will host a special marriage conference on Friday, Jan. 28, and Saturday, Jan. 29. The conference will be led by Justin and Trisha Davis, founders of Refine Our Marriage, who partner with churches all over the country.
