GENEVA—How would you like to spend a week at a privately-owned ocean front condo in the Turks and Caicos; enjoy a 10,000 square foot villa in Mexico with nine of your closest friends; send your son to a football camp with Robbie Gould; or play golf with Hank Haney, Tiger Woods’ coach for seven years?

These are only a few of the spectacular auction items available through the Winter Wine Festival of the LivingWell Cancer Resource Center. Auction offerings will be available for bid both at the event on Saturday, Feb. 19, and through absentee bid forms for the first time this year.

“The Wine Festival Committee is so thrilled to offer such an extensive list of exclusive, once-in-a-life experiences this year,” said LivingWell Special Events Coordinator Susan Mielke. “Each year we work to make the auction bigger and better than the year before, and this year’s auction items are spectacular.”

This year’s offerings include a wine and culinary excursion to Tuscany; a sailing expedition to the Mediterranean; a Cub’s Fantasy Camp; dinner with Patrick Sharp; a Maker’s Mark tour with owner Bill Samuels; a private in-home dinner with Niche’s Executive Chef Serena; a boy’s football camp with Robbie Gould; and VIP experiences with the Cubs, Bulls, Bears and Blackhawks. Other items include a luxurious weekend escape to Chicago; skydiving; VIP treatment by the Tri-City mayors; a Notre Dame football package; meet and greet with Jay Leno; a trip to Naples, Fla; a Wine Country experience; spa and golf packages, and much more.

For details on the huge array of auction items, absentee bid forms and more information on the Wine Festival, go to the LivingWell website,, and click on the Winter Wine Festival logo on the right side of the page. All of the information on the Wine Festival and instructions on the absentee bidding process are available there.

“For the first time in the history of the event, we are opening the bidding up to any interested parties. If you can’t attend the Wine Festival but you still want to support LivingWell, you can bid on any auction item by filling out an absentee bid form,” said Mielke. “Please feel free to read through the live auction lots, talk to your friends and family and strategize together on a bid for your favorite package. We are so thankful to all of the sponsors and bidders; the proceeds of this event help allow LivingWell to provide more than 50 programs, all free of charge, to cancer survivors and their families.”

In addition, those who want to help with the event can stop by Binny’s Beverage Depot, 1950 Lincoln Highway, St. Charles, or call (630) 377-1671 and ask for Andrew or Patrick, to donate a bottle of wine to the Wine Festival event. All of those who donate will receive a 5 percent discount on the donated bottles, as well as on your own personal order.
