Blessing of the Animals
in Sugar Grove

SUGAR GROVE—The public is invited to Sugar Grove United Methodist Church for a Blessing of the Animals on Sunday, July 17, during the 8 a.m. outdoor worship at its 40-acre Harter Road campus west of Route 47 at 4S633 Harter Road.
Participants are asked to keep their pet on a leash. During the worship service, the owner and pet will be invited to come forward to receive a blessing. This is an old tradition observed by many churches to recognize God’s creatures who have become important parts of their lives.
Water for pets will be provided. After the service, pets and owners are welcome to explore the 40 acres together.
