KANEVILLE—After years of service to the Village of Kaneville, Village Clerk Sandy Weiss will be stepping down from her position next year.

“I’m going to be moving out of state,” Weiss said, “So I have to step down from my position.”

Weiss will be stepping down at the end of May 2012.

“We have a couple months,” said Village President Bob Rodney, “But we are already looking for a replacement so we have time to have them trained by June.”

Because the position of Village Clerk is appointed, those interested in the position should send a short resume to the President Rodney at the village.

“We’re going to be sorry to lose Sandy,” Rodney said, “She’s been a valuable employee to the village.”
