KANELAND—Lady Knights volleyball continued to have the edge over familiar opponents, including Rochelle on Thursday.

Led by Katy Dudzinski, Kylie Siebert and Ashley Prost, the Lady Knights swept the visiting Lady Hubs by a final of 25-19, 25-21.

On Tuesday, Kaneland came away with a convincing 25-18, 25-19 victory in Yorkville.

The Lady Knights now sit at 14-4 with a 4-1 mark in Northern Illinois Big XII Conference play.

KHS now finds itself atop the conference standings with DeKalb, one match ahead of Morris.

Dudzinski had 11 kills, while Siebert had 11 digs and Prost gathered 13 assists.

Against Yorkville, Dudzinski had nine kills, while Prost added 10 assists.

Siebert produced nine digs, two aces and 10 serve-recieve receptions.

“Today we were a lot smarter with the ball and placed it really well,” Siebert said. “That helped us a lot.”

Coach Todd Weimer is encouraged with the recent stretch.

“Both my setters dissected that defense, and it was really fun to see after working on different things this week in practice,” Weimer said.

In sophomore action against Rochelle, KHS won 25-18, 25-20, while the freshman “A” team came away with a 25-8, 25-17 win, and the “B” side edged its opponent by a 27-25, 26-24 win.

Coming up for the Lady Knights is a home matchup with crossover opponent Dixon in the East gym on Thursday, Sept. 29.
