Centennial Concert
at St. Gall

ELBURN—St. Gall Catholic Church continues its Centennial Celebration with a free concert at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, open to all community members.
St. Gall has a traditional choir, children’s choir, guitar choir and numerous soloists and instrumentalists who share their talents on a weekly basis with its parishioners during each Mass. The concert will highlight each one of the choirs, soloist and instrumentalists. A small reception follows afterward.
Members or family members of those currently in the military or those of veterans are encouraged to attend. A special veterans memorial will also include a service and song medley in which members of each branch of the service will be asked to stand when they hear their song. Military attire is encouraged. Second Sunday Concert
Series feature
gospel quartet

BATAVIA—Immanuel Lutheran Church presents the first program in its Second Sunday Concert Series at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 13, featuring The Shepherdsmen, a gospel quartet from Missouri. The quartet shares its love of Southern Gospel Music, a uniquely American music form.
There is no admission; an offering will be received. The church is located at 950 Hart Road.

Experience Taize Worship
at St. Charles Episcopal

ST. CHARLES—The community is invited to experience Taize Worship on Sunday, Nov. 13, at 7:30 p.m. at St. Charles Episcopal Church, 994, N. 5th Ave.
The worship is in the style of Taize, a monastic community in central France, with a service of light and shadows, chant and silence, readings and quiet prayer. Information is available at or (630) 584-2596.

‘Operation Christmas
Child’ helps
kids worldwide

ST. CHARLES—Hosanna! Lutheran Church once again will be a regional drop-off site for “Operation Christmas Child,” an international ministry project.
Shoe boxes filled with small gifts can be dropped off at Hosanna! through Sunday, Nov. 20, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday from 5 to 6:30 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to noon. Gift selections to put in the shoe boxes include small toys, school supplies, hygiene items, hard candy and gum (double-bagged) and a special note of encouragement.
