ATLANTA—Tyler Fabrizius of Maple Park will be one of 30 Illinois teens to gather in Atlanta, Ga., for the 90th National 4-H Congress scheduled for Nov. 25-29.

National 4-H Congress offers states an opportunity to send outstanding 4-H youth to this event and provide them with an expanded educational experience through seminars, community service projects, and tours sponsored by local and national 4-H program donors. Highlighting this year’s event will be author and motivational speaker Dan Thurmon; internationally known speaker, songwriter/recording artist, and author Dan Clark; and Miss America 2011, Teresa Scanlan, one of the youngest women ever to win the pageant, and the first Miss Nebraska ever to win the Miss America title.

All Congress delegates will participate in special cultural programs during the International Dinner and a night of programming at the Atlanta History Center. Other educational experiences during National 4-H Congress will include delegate participation in workshops focusing on cultural differences, team leadership development, and the power of youth.
