KHS announces ‘Les Miserables’ as spring musical

Kaneland—Kaneland High School students will perform “Les Miserables School Edition” for the school’s annual spring musical.

Performances will be Friday, March 16, at 7 p.m., Saturday, March 17, at p.m. and Sunday, March 18, at 2 p.m. in the Kaneland High School Auditorium.

Set in early 19th century France, the plot follows the stories of many characters as they struggle for redemption and revolution. The longest running musical in the world, Les Mis features an award winning score with songs such as “I Dreamed a Dream” popularly covered by Susan Boyle and recently performed on Glee.

Kaneland’s performance of “Les Miserables School Edition” is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI) and is being performed entirely by students.
