Nancy K. Bos

Nancy K. Bos, 68, of Oregon, Ill., stepped into the arms of Jesus on Thursday, March 22, 2012, at the Serenity Home in Oregon. Nancy was born Nov. 2, 1943, in Elgin, Ill., the daughter to Lawrence and Marion (Stettner) Wolfe.

Nancy spent her childhood growing up in Elburn, and was active in the church choir and youth group. She married Harvey Lee Bos on March 25, 1970. They made their home in the Sycamore area until retiring in Oregon, in 1998.

Nancy enjoyed working in the health field for many years and then working at Creative Calligraphy as credit manager for about 10 years. She served on the Women’s Ministry Team, various church committees, and taught women’s Bible studies in the Sycamore/DeKalb, and Oregon areas. She is a member of the Evangelical Free Church of Mt. Morris.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Harvey, of Oregon, Ill.; daughter, Denyse Christensen of Elburn; step-daughter, Lisa Bos of Sycamore; step-sons, David (Louise) Bos of Colorado and Rick (Darla) Bos of Steward, Ill.; brother, Larry (Barbara) Wolfe of California; as well as 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, March 31, at 11 a.m. at the Evangelical Free Church of Mt. Morris, with pastors Bruce McKanna and Larry Jameson co-officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service at the church, 10 to 11 a.m.

Burial will be at the Riverview Cemetery near Oregon.

A memorial fund is established for the Evangelical Free Church of Mt. Morris and the Billy Graham Association.
