Church news for June 14
ELBURN—Summer worship schedule will be in place for Community Congregational Church (CCC). Adult Bible Study will take place at 8:20 a.m., followed by worship at 9:30 a.m. A time of fellowship will follow at 10:30 a.m. downstairs in Schneider Hall. On July 1 and Aug. 5, worship will take place at ground level in the old nursery on the east end of the building. Since the church has had elevator issues for the past few years, our stairs have provided a barrier to worship for older or handicapped people. CCC hopes to remedy this by having the service in the nursery. On June 10, the church will offer a more contemporary service in the main sanctuary. At that service, the church will honor high school graduates and present the Bob Miller Memorial Scholarship.
