ELBURN—The Twilight Wish Foundation, headquartered in Doylestown, Penn., is pleased to announce the appointment of Terese Klinger as director of the newly-formed Elburn chapter of Twilight Wish Foundation.

Klinger has been an occupational therapist for over 10 years, working in a variety of settings. Currently, she is working full-time in home healthcare. Klinger is also a registered therapeutic riding instructor and provides occupational therapy services part-time in an outpatient clinic that specializes in hippotherapy.

Klinger was inspired to join Twilight Wish after an incident involving her elderly father.

“My dad fell while out for his morning walk, and two high school senior girls on their way to school saw him fall. Not only did they walk home with him, but they stopped by after school to make sure he was okay,” Klinger said. “On that day, my faith in humanity was restored. It’s all about people helping people, regardless of age. And in my work with the elderly, I have the perfect opportunity to help make seniors’ wishes come true.”

Twilight Wish Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization that grants wishes to seniors who are over 68 years old and have an income of less than 200 percent of poverty level annually, or who are permanent residents of a nursing facility. The mission of Twilight Wish Foundation is to honor and enrich the lives of deserving elders through wish granting celebrations that connect generations. Since its founding in 2003, Twilight Wish Foundation has fulfilled the wishes of over 1,920 seniors, thanks to volunteers, corporate and community involvement and donations.
