Knights Under the Lights takes the stage next week
KANELAND—While having the summer fade into another school year, KHS athletes, family and fans can attend a reliable reminder of athletic excitement on Thursday, Aug. 22.

Knights Under the Lights hits Peterson Field in the evening, once again serving as a chance to meet the KHS entries of Northern Illinois Big XII competition before most of them take their respective fields for the year.

Introductions are set to begin at 6 p.m., beginning with sophomore and freshman football, followed by JV cheerleaders, cross country, tennis, golf and band.

After the band plays the fight song, the sophomore and freshman football squads take the field for a scrimmage. Volleyball and soccer are scheduled to be introduced at 7 p.m., with varsity cheer and poms next on the stage before the varsity football roster takes the field shortly thereafter.

The evening’s activities wrap up at 8:30 p.m., with team pictures taken on the varsity softball field. No admission is charged.

The Kaneland Sports Boosters are also holding their Dodge Test Drive Event Fundraiser before the event. During the exhibition, participants earn $20 to support the Kaneland Sports Boosters by taking a brief test drive in a new Dodge.
