Elburn to use water bill to communicate community events

By on September 22, 2013

ELBURN—The village will begin accepting announcements from local non-profit organizations regarding community events for placement on its water and sewer bills. Space within the header of the bill allows for messages of up to 80 characters, without significant additional costs to the village.

A third-party, Third Millenium Associates, Inc., produces the mailing and sends it out through first-class mail to all resident addresses, approximately 2,050 units, within village limits.

Trustee Bill Grabarek has been providing residents with some interesting Elburn facts in the space for the past couple of months.

The board members agreed its use should be limited to non-profit purposes.
