Soph. Girls Basketball
Jan. 17 at DeKalb—Kiandra Powell’s 18 points led the Lady Knights as they romped the host Lady Barbs 53-24. Powell made four treys. KHS led 35-8 at halftime. Bailey Crimmins had nine points, Jenna Harvell and Nicole Koczka each had six points, and Kylie Modaff had five. KHS is now 10-8 overall, and 2-2 in NIB-12 play.

Soph. Boys Basketball
Jan. 17 vs. Yorkville—The Knights used a strong start and finish to hang on and beat the visiting Foxes. After down 17-10 in the first quarter, Yorkville closed within one point to start the fourth quarter. The Knights outscored the Foxes 16-11 in the final frame to seal the victory. Tanner Robertson led the way with 15 points, while Jake Marczuk supplied 14 and both Mark Lilly and Joe Laudont each had 11 points. The sophomore Knights are 12-2 overall and 4-0 in NIB-12 conference play.
