Local municipalities got into the Arbor Day spirit last weekend. Sugar Grove Library Treasurer/trustee Louise Coffman (below, left to right), village trustee Mari Johnson, Library Director Carol Dolin, library trustee Pat Graceffa and Public Works Director Anthony Speciale honor the holiday by planting a bonfire sugar maple tree on Friday at the Sugar Grove Public Library. Elburn Village Board trustee Ken Anderson (right, front) and Jeff Metcalf help plant a sunset maple 6.tree at Independence Park in the Blackberry Creek subdivision on Saturday. Strang, Inc., donated the tree.
