Oct. 29 Police blotter
The following reports were obtained from the local police departments. The individuals charged with crimes are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
â€¢ One of six local people arrested in Aurora June 14 for mob action and aggravated battery was indicted by the Kane County Grand Jury.
Troy R. Jorgensen, 20, of the 600 block of Highland Drive in Elburn, was indicted on the charges on Oct. 16.
In addition to Jorgenson, those arrested in the June 14 incident were Quinn D. Jahns, 20, of the 100 block of Calkins Drive in Sugar Grove; Kevin M. Washlow, 18, of the 200 block of Hampton Drive in Sugar Grove; Jacob J. Levita, 29, of the 41W000 block of Northway Drive in Elburn; Jay M. Levita, 18, of the 41W000 block of Northway Drive in Elburn; and Christopher A. Fillmore, 22, of the 800 block of North First Street in Elburn.
When Kane County Sherrifâ€™s officers arrived at the crime scene at an Aurora party, they found a 22-year-old Elburn man had been beaten up by several of the offenders.
â€¢ Elburn police found a bicycle at 11:30 a.m. Oct. 24 on East Pierce Street in Elburn. The owner may call the Police Department at (630) 365-5070 to identify the bike and claim it.
â€¢ Randall J. Niles, 19, of the 200 block of Kinsel Street, Plano, was charged with illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor at 3 a.m. on Oct. 17.
â€¢ Jose L. Garcia, 33, of the 400 block of Indiana Street, St. Charles, was charged at 8:12 p.m. on Oct. 15 with attempting obstructing justice. He was also charged for driving while his license was suspended, operating an uninsured vehicle, and improper use of registration. He was westbound on Cross Street.
â€¢ Jose Ramirez, 35, of the 1100 block of Burgundy Lane, Aurora, was charged with driving on a suspended driver’s license at 3:30 p.m. on Oct. 15. He was northbound on Route 47 at Galena Boulevard.
