KHS hosts Santa’s CraftShop Nov. 7

Kaneland—Fundraisers don’t always have to be tedious and involved. Sometimes they are just plain fun, such as the Holiday fundraiser sponsored by the Peer Leadership Group, which will have a distinct holiday theme.

Santa’s CraftShop will be held in the school cafeteria on Saturday, Nov. 7, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. During the show, families will be able to view the great variety of handmade arts and crafts and select items for gift-giving and for holiday decorating and entertaining.

This show has been promoted and juried by RMS Promotions, a professional organization that strictly juries the applicants for original, hand-crafted items. This year’s show will spotlight crafters with products such as holiday decorations and ornaments, handmade doll clothes, a variety of jewelry, stained glass, holiday clothing and accessories, soaps and candles, embroidered items, hand-carved wood items, baby blankets and accessories, and much more.

Peer Leadership is an active group of Kaneland High School students who are involved with many different sports and activities throughout the high school. Peer Leaders work on team building and leadership skills while having fun. Peer Leaders also help with tours of the building and serve as guides for open house events.

Students from the organization will be on hand during the event to help set up the show, as well as tend to the needs of participants.

The admission fee at the door will benefit the group. For more information, call (630) 896-1947.
