Penny J. Bringle

            Penny J. Bringle, 55, of Aurora, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2008, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on Aug. 31, 1953, in Aurora, the daughter of Robert Sr. and Pearl Morrison.

            She was a lifelong resident of Aurora and North Aurora. After raising her family, Penny worked for Rich Lee Van Company as a bus driver for 10 years, followed by K Mart for 10 years and for the last eight years as a paraprofessional for the West Aurora School District No. 129. As reflected by her careers, Penny dedicated her life to not only her children, but others as well.

            Penny also enjoyed many hobbies such as knitting, sewing, quilting, ceramics and scrapbooking. She was a proud member of The Red Hat Society.

            She is survived by her husband, Larry; children, Michelle (David) Kovacs and Jeremy Schultze; step-children, Shelly (Monte) Harden and Craig (Neroj) Bringle; parents, Robert Sr. and Pearl (who raised her from the age of three, following her mother’s passing) Morrison; grandchildren, Josie and Walker Harden, Wyatt, Jade, Jiwan and Botan Bringle; siblings, Robert (Ann) Morrison Jr., Melody (Juris) Stals, Cheryl Joyce, Mark Brown, Merilee (Michael) Severson and Michael (Valerie) Brown; and 15 nieces and nephews.

            Penny was preceded in death by her birth mother, Mavis (Rogers) Morrison.

            A special thank you goes to Dr. Sudhir Sekhon and the staff at Dreyer Cancer Center, as well as The LivingWell Cancer Resource Center and Provena Hospice, for their outstanding care and compassion to our family.

            Visitation was held Nov. 2 at The Healy Chapel, Sugar Grove. Funeral services were held Nov. 3 at the chapel. Burial will take place at Lincoln Memorial Park.
